Omar Bouchqroaui lives in Marrakech and Basel. Whatever your request, he has a broad knowledge and is happy to share his love of the oriental world with you.

Growing up in Marrakech, he discovered his love for handicrafts by working for a coppersmith. Almost 20 years ago, he renovated his riad in Moorish style together with artisans and has since deepened his knowledge in the techniques of wood, plaster and mosaic work and has specialised in renovations of old and dilapidated riads.

"I believe that traditional Moroccan construction, with its mosaics, plaster and wood carvings, serves both an aesthetic and a functional purpose."

We are familiar with the visual and technical criteria of the original construction method. The highest maxim is the preservation of the existing building fabric and the traditional basic structure of a house. Highest priority is given to the use of natural materials, so the healthy indoor climate can be maintained.

It is a personal concern of Omar Bouchqraoui to preserve the old town houses (riads) in the medina of Marrakech and, where possible, to make the old handicrafts visible again. Each riad presents a new challenge. Traditional handicrafts and modern technology should be combined in a meaningful and functional way and experienced as an enrichment for the residents.

We help our customers in their search for antique objects. We have a larger stock ourselves, we know many specialized shops in Marrakech and regularly visit the flea markets in and around Marrakech and throughout Morocco. We advise and accompany you to dealers and markets - let's find treasures together. If necessary, we will support you or take care of the organization of transport abroad.
